Recent injuries or operations
It is important for the sport therapist to work closely with your doctor, physiotherapist and coach, as each member of the injury management team has an equally important role to play. I can provide exercise therapy for strengthening and increasing the range of movement around an affected area, nutritional guidance to aid the healing process and positive mental focusing strategies to reinforce progress made and show light at the end of what may seem to be a long tunnel.
Long term illness and body misalignment
Dis-ease often comes from an imbalance in the body. There are many factors to consider here such as your posture, eating and exercise habits, lifestyle, hereditary conditions and personal circumstances, and by offering an unbiased assessment I can show you that the health habits you are holding on to may actually be holding you back.
Nutritional advice and counselling
Most people think they eat fairly well, but when they are asked to compile a food diary over a week some interesting results can show up. Only you can change what you eat, and I can give you advice on food effects and offer alternative sources of nutrition you may not have considered.
